The "2024 Daejeon Science Festival," Korea's leading science festival, will be held at the Daejeon Convention Center (DCC) on October 18-20.

According to the Daejeon Metropolitan Government on October 16, the festival, which will be held under the theme of "The Age of Space Economy, the Beginning of a Top Space City with the Daejeon Satellite!" will feature a variety of programs that combine science and technology, high-tech industries, and culture of the Daedeok Innopolis.

The festival venue will be divided into five zones: forum and exhibition zone; high-tech industry and science experience space; a science and culture zone; and a Daedeok Innopolis zone.

The opening ceremony and celebration performance will be held on a special stage at the Expo Science Park on October 18.

During the event period, there will be a star festival at Daejeon Observatory, an astronaut special exhibition, a science drawing contest, among others are scheduled.

In Daedeok Innopolis, visitors can test drive an autonomous vehicle prepared by the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute.

In addition, local small business owners will set up an open market to showcase their products.

Daejeon's mayor said, "we will do our best to make the Daejeon Science Festival a world-class science festival."
