According to Yonhap News,
(CHUNCHEON=Yonhap News) Gangwon Province announced January 24 the measures to facilitate the drone leisure industry by establishing the infrastructure, extending the market and promoting the regional industries.
The drone leisure industry will be developed for three years from 2016 to 2018.
The first year will focus on building the infrastructure including holding racing contests, running outreaching programs for school students and providing relevant contents.
The second year will extend the market including building a platform for planes, nurturing skilled workforce and supporting people to acquire certificates.
The last year will promote the regional industries including pioneering new markets, supportign research and development of companies and cooperating with regional core industries.
"We will revitalize our regional economy by developing the drone leisure industry as one of the growth strategies of the future," said a provincial official.
