According to Yonhap News,

(PYEONGCHANG=Yonhap News) A new fitness center for winter sports athletes with physical disabilities opened on Tuesday in the South Korean host city for the 2018 Winter Paralympic Games.

Located at Alpensia Resort in PyeongChang, Gangwon Province, some 180 kilometers east of Seoul, the facility is designed to help the disabled athletes prepare for the Winter Paralympics at home. At 600 square meters, the fitness center features some 70 pieces of workout equipment, along with a physical therapy room.

PyeongChang will host both the Winter Olympics and the Winter Paralympics in February 2018, the first time South Korea will stage these competitions.

The opening ceremony was attended by Kim Sung-il, president of the Korea Paralympic Committee, among other leaders in local Paralympic sports.

"With the PyeongChang Paralympics, we'll have a chance to further develop our winter sports," Kim said. "I hope you will all put your heart into realizing your dreams in PyeongChang in 2018."
