GANGWON-DO < invest Korea

(JEONGSEON=NEWSIS) Jeongseon County announced February 21 that it will invest KRW 6.4 billion in 12 eco-friendly projects in 2016.

The green agriculture of the county focuses on producing eco-friendly agricultural products and expanding distribution infrastructure including implementing the direct payment system and operating an environmentally-friendly microorganism incubating center.

The county will produce and supply 100 tons of effective microorganisms annually for agriculture and support inspection cost for soil, agricultural pesticides and water quality.

The county will invest KRW 4.7 billion in 6 projects to supply eco-friendly agricultural materials for 180ha of land and 1.26 million of organic fertilizers in order to produce high-quality green agricultural goods and expand the area for certification.

The county held various events to increase the understanding of environmentally-friendly agriculture and agricultural produce and promote consumption.
