(CHUNCHEON=NEWSIS) Gangwon Province announced February 24 that it will place KRW 3.4143 trillion of construction orders in 2016 to revitalize the weak regional construction sector.

Around 60 regional institutions will make 3,637 construction orders in 2016, according to the province.

By type, the construction work accounted for the most with 2,872 cases (96.1 %, KRW 3.2832 trillion).

The province will hold a briefing session on February 25 in Wonju City to explain its plans for the construction orders in 2016.

About 400 people from the construction, design and construction equipment companies will attend the event to obtain the information on the construction orders and discuss measures to revitalize the construction sector.
