GANGWON-DO < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

(WONJU=Yonhap News) Gangwon Province held a completion ceremony on April 19 for the construction of a new plant of Japan’s BeRM, the first company to move to the Munmak Foreign Investment Zone.

BeRM produces 7.5 trillion lactic acid bacteria per gram for patients suffering from autoimmune diseases, high blood pressure and diabetes.

The province expects the BeRM plant to invigorate the regional lactobacillus product market.

Haitai-Calbee will also complete the construction of its new plant at the Munmak Foreign Investment Zone in May.

"We will strive to create an investment environment to attract more global companies," said a provincial official.
