(BANGKOK=Yonhap News) The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs announced that it has promoted Korean food at THAIFEX - World of Food ASIA 2016, held in Bangkok, Thailand from May 25 to 29, by establishing "Korea Pavilion" organized by the Korea Agro-Fisheries Trade Corporation.
The local governments including Gyeonggi Province, Gangwon Province, South Gyeongsang Province and North Chungcheong Province, the Foodpolis and 57 companies have set up 68 booths to introduce Korean fresh food products, Kimchi, ginseng, confectionery and functional food products.
The Ministry aims to make inroads into not only the Southeast Asian markets but also Indian and other nearby markets by capitalizing on THAIFEX - World of Food ASIA 2016.
