GANGWON-DO < invest Korea

(SEOUL=Yonhap News) Gangwon Province, Kyobo Securities, and the East coast Free Economic Zone Authority joined their hands to promote investment in Mangsang District.

Three parties signed an MOU for cooperation at Gangwon's provincial government building on Aug 8th and agreed to come up with joint project plan for investment in Mangsang District, East coast Free Economic Zone (EFEZ).

In accordance with the project plan, they agreed to reach a memorandum of agreement containing detailed conditions for financial and strategic investment of Kyobo Securities.

"Although current conditions are not favorable, we expect investment promotion will gain momentum as Kyobo Securities sets to invest in Mangsang district," said Choi Moon-Soon, Governor of Gangwon Province. "We will strive to provide administrative support for the success of the project."

Mangsang District is a large-scale city development project built on a site of 6.39㎢ with investment of KRW 1,177.1 billion.

The province aims to establish an international year-round vacation town by 2024 through private investment.
