(JEONGSEON=Yonhap News) The county of Jeongseon in Gangwon Province is setting out to enhance its competitiveness in the horticulture Industry.
The move aims to prepare the county for an increase in cultivation area and crop yield of horticultural products across the country.

As of 2015, a total KRW 114.9 billion was collected in revenue from local horticulture farmers, of which vegetables brought in the largest share of KRW 63.1 billion.
Based on research conducted late last year on the local horticulture industry, the county will establish a five-year plan for 2018 to 2022 to raise its cost competitiveness by introducing advanced technology and building an effective distribution network.
