Inje U. Signs With Green Cross Lab Cell to Develop Stem Cell-based Medicine

(GIMHAE=Newsis News) On June 5 at the Inje University campus in Gangwon Province, the university and Green Cross Lab Cell signed a agreement to cooperate on academic and clinical research on developing stem-cell based medicine.

The signing ceremony was attended by President Cha In-jun of Inje University and CEO Park Dae-u of Green Cross Lab Cell, as well as other representatives form either organization.

Based on the agreement, the two parties will exchange technology, information and researchers to develop stem cell-based medicine, and carry out clinical trials, work toward receiving joint government funding.

A team led by professor Seo Su-gil at Inje University's School of Medicine will be in charge of developing technology for activating immunoregulatory functions, while Green Cross Lab Cell will work on how to better select and process stem cells.
