GANGWON-DO < invest Korea

(CHUNCHEON=Newsis News) Gangwon Province announced July 3 that Yeongwol's Fermented Sauce Industrial Convergence District has been selected by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs as a 6th industrialization district formation project.

Based on the designation, the project will receive KRW 3.04 billion across the three years from 2018 to 2020.

The province plans to develop a fermented-sauce-themed village company, promote industrialization through alliances with local agricultural cooperatives, revitalize experience-based tourist programs, and heavily invest in nurturing Yeoungwol's fermented sauces into a popular brand.

Meanwhile, a total of KRW 6.2 billion is being invested in the development projects for the Hoengseong Korean Beef 6th Industrial District as well as the highland napa cabbage industrial districts in Gangneung and PyeongChang.
