According to Yonhap News,

(SEOUL=Yonhap News) South Korea will redouble efforts to promote the safety and security of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics after a couple of countries expressed concern about nuclear and missile tensions with North Korea.

France and Austria reportedly suggested the possibility of skipping the Feb. 9-25 Winter Games unless the safety of their athletes is guaranteed. They cited heightened tensions over North Korea's nuclear and missile development.

On Wednesday, the culture ministry reported to Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon that it will actively tackle misperceptions about PyeongChang's safety as it could dampen the festive atmosphere in the run-up to the games and affect the chances of success.

Officials said during a government committee meeting on Olympic preparations that they will work with the International Olympic Committee to keep providing national Olympic committees with information about security measures South Korea is taking to ensure the safety of participants.

The ministry reported that it will use overseas Korean cultural centers for the PR campaign. South Korea is also working to have the U.N. General Assembly adopt a resolution on a global cease-fire during the Olympic Games, officials said.
