According to Yonhap News,

(CHUNCHEON=Yonhap News) The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has gave final approval for Chuncheon's recent growth-promotion-type local development plans that utilize the local Uiam Lake in Gangwon Province.

Since 2015, the city of Chuncheon has submitted three new plans for the Samak Rope-way project, Samcheong-dong Tourist Hotel project and Tour Boat project, all part of the new Uiam Lake Tourism Belt.

A total of KRW 180 billion will be injected into the Samak Rope-way (KRW 55 bln), Samcheong-dong Tourist Hotel (KRW 100 bln) and Tour Boat (KRW 25 bln) projects, all from private investment.

Investors in the three projects will benefit from tax exemptions of 100 percent for two years for corporate tax, 50 percent for 2 years for income tax, and up to 50 percent for acquisition tax and property tax, explained the city.

Meanwhile, in addition to the new Uiam Lake Tourism Belt projects, the ongoing aqua thermal convergence cluster project has also received approval by the national government.
