The project will offer tourists transportation, rental cars, accommodation and food in a single, discounted package that can be paid for on their smart phones.

Gangwon-do and Sokcho City will take part in recruiting franchise retailers, location information and promotion while the actual operations of the pilot project such as system setup, Tour Pass sales, finances and product development will be led by private companies.

Currently, the team has finalized the basic plans, product design and appropriate model simulations. They plan to finish setting up the system, recruit franchise retailers and complete preliminary examinations by the first half of this year and begin operations in the second half of the year.
