2018 Winter Olympics Venue Appeals to Australian and New Zealand Tourists

(CHUNCHEON=Yonhap News) Gangwon-do hopes to use the momentum of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics to attract tourists from Australia and New Zealand.

The province is undertaking the PyeongChang Big 3+ ski tour package in continuation with the Post Olympic and Olympic Legacy packages.

The Korea Tourism Organization, various ski resorts and travel companies will work together on promotional activities for the event.

First off, the PyeongChang BIG 3+ will be released on May 20 at the Snow Travel Expo 2018 at the International Convention Center in Sydney, Australia.

The expo will feature a PR desk with activities and event zones where visitors can experience and purchase the ski package.

On May 21, 40 representatives that sell Korean tour packages in Australia will be invited to learn out winter packages and themed tours.

On May 22, there will be a PR event to introduce the PyeongChang BIG 3+ to various companies that sell Korean tour packages in New Zealand and airline representatives as well as to gather feedback on the product.

On May 24, there will be a joint-marketing agreement signing for attracting corporate incentive groups in Singapore.

Parties of the agreement include Asiana Airlines, Hiwon and Hana Tour.
