(CHUNCHEON=Yonhap News) Starting in September, products originating from Chuncheon, Gangwon will be sold on a Vietnamese distribution network.

According to Chuncheon City, the region's MS Mart and Vietnam's distribution company L'ang Farm singed an exchange agreement on May 31 in Đà Lạt, Lâm Đồng.

Under the agreement, the two cities will expand their cooperation to include private economic exchanges.

L'ang Farm is a medium-sized distribution company that operates 23 stores in Vietnam including Ho Chi Minh City and Đà Lạt.

The main article of the agreement entails both stores will set up exhibition spaces for the other in order to speed up the entry of the regional products into global markets.

The two companies will conduct negotiations for product selection and installment and have the exhibition spaces in stores in September at the earliest.

Chuncheon City will first work to secure a sales base for high-demand products in Vietnam, such as bio and health supplements. The city will expand into other stores in places such as Ho Chi Minh City and Đà Lạt depending on the success of the first store.

The two cities also agreed to expand their cooperation into other areas such as movies, dramas, cultural art, agriculture and more.
