2018 Korea Forest Culture Expo to be Held in Inje

(DAEJEON=Yonhap News) The 2018 Korea Forest Culture Expo will be held from October 5 to 14 for 10 days at around Inje Theme Park.

The Korea Forest Culture Expo is the largest culture, exhibition and experience event in the forestry field and is hosted by the Korea Forest Service and organized by Inje County and National Forestry Cooperative Federation.

Marking its 11th year, Inje County will showcase forest culture and experience events by reflecting regional and seasonal characteristics aligned with the 36th HapGang Culture Festival.

Under the theme of "Forest, Opening the Green Job," the event will have exhibitions of forest culture arts and woodcraft, VR experience of forest leports and contest for forest interpreters.

A seminar, symposium and contest for forest technology will be also held to form a consensus on the academic value of forest.

The subtitle is "Healthy Life, Forest Leports Together."

"Forest culture industry is as important as the traditional forest projects," said, Kim Jae-hyun, Minister of the Korea Forest Service. "As the demand for forest leports is growing these days, I hope people can enjoy the health life in the forests."
