According to Yonhap News,

(CHUNCHEON=Yonhap News) Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do will run a "adviser" to actively attract companies.

Last year, only one company moved to Chuncheon from a capital area, and three from other city or district within the province.

To that end, the province plans to attract high-performing small, medium, and large corporations by appointing about 10 civil experts.

The advisers will be pooled from those experienced in business management, executives of large corporations or financial institutions, and government's investment organizations.

They will be responsible for collecting information on industry trends, and promoting investment to attract companies from other cities or provinces.

If they succeed in attracting relocation of companies from other cities or provinces, incentives will be provided.

The terms of office will be two-years since the appointment date, and can be extended depending on performance.

Chuncheon city plans to compose a advisory council, and hold an appointment ceremony in May.

A city official said,"We want to strategically attract high-performing companies by utilizing investment know-how and personal netowrk of advisers."
