Gangwon business and women's organizations come together for successful the 7th GTI EXPO

(CHUNCHEON=Yonhap News) Seven economic and women organizations and companies in Gangwon will join their forces for the 7th GTI International Trade & Investment EXPO.

On August 6, they signed MOU at Gwangwon Research Center to create an atmosphere for GTI EXPO to be held on October 17-20 in Wonju.

Gangwon Council of Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gangwon Council of Business Organization, Gangwon Council of Women's Organization, Hite Jinro, KORAIL, Gangwon FC, and The PICT took part on MOU.

Business and women's organizations will join their forces in enhancing personal network within Northeast Asia and increase exports of companies by taking part in GTI Economic Cooperation Conference, Asia Women's CEO, among others.

KORAIL will develop and sell products connecting with tourist spots in the EXPO area, while Hite Jinro promotes chicken and beer festival as well as promoting the EXPO by putting EXPO label on its 450,000 bottles of liquor, and Gangwon FC will explore ways to promote win-win.

In particular, THE PICT will record the EXPO with VR to load product lines, products, and payment information of companies, enabling customers to visit companies' booths in virtual reality and purchase products for a year until the next EXPO.

It is a new attempt to make a leap forward to become a festival that represents Northeast Asia, and leading Korean Wave in economic space, satisfying visitors, local residents, and participating companies.

There will also be separate space for the 15th Medical Equipment Expo and 2019 Village Enterprise Expo to be held simultaneously.

In connection with the EXPO, there will also be a night of Korea-China exchange, Night market events, GTI Economic Cooperation Conference, Asia Women CEO, and the World Korean Business Convention.

Gangwon's vice governor said, "We will achieve the goal of 150,000 visitors," adding that "we will make every preparation to turn this EXPO as an opportunity for companies to sell their products on the site and increase sales."
