GANGWON-DO < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

Freshly grown rice, cultivated in clean Gangwon area will be consumed by Americans. Gangwon Province announced that 10 brands of rice (totally 10t) produced in seven major Gangwon cities will be exported to the US market on Nov. 19.

This major achievement came from the ongoing negotiations with the US business counterpart who’ve joined the business consulting service at the 7th GTI International Trade / Investment Fair held in the city of Wonju last month. Some of the brands getting positive consumer feedback this time in the US market will be formally traded to meet the demand of US customers.

The city official said “To improve brand image and to take competitive advantage at the negotiation table, the province will keep working on advertisement and promotional event. When we get quality feedback from the US consumers, we’ll expand export channels in the US market.”
