Gangwon Province announced on Dec. 13 that Gangwon Business Agency (GBA) is now running a famtour, part of promotional events to publicize tour business on the East coast of the peninsula.

The second round of the program, designed to develop local economies especially targeting media outlets or travel agencies, is now underway after the official completion of the first session which started early Dec. A group of tourists who joined the program were guided around the affected place hit hard by wildfire in April 2019- new tourist spots in Gangneung, Donghae, Sokcho, Goseong – KTX rail tour via Seoul, Bauzium Gallery – MoonBear Brewing Taphouse – Sockcho Story Bicycles. They’ve learned new resources to be explored, while joining a series of attendee experiences.

“The agency will keep working on developing new business as new source of income to the community, which ultimately brings good opportunities to well restore affected area in the aftermath of the disaster.”, said GBA.
