Youngwol-gun to form Seoul Farmland, a place to taste the pastoral life in Gangwon

There will be a place for a farm stay, named Seoul Farmland, offering a taste of life in farming village and refreshment for urban visitors, near Youngwol-gun, Gangwon Province.


 Seoul Farmland, an exchange program between Seoul and local authorities, is designed to find ways for co-development by helping visitors explore a peaceful and pastoral life or leave urban life to farm. The Farmland which costs KRW 1.3 billion in total (KRW 600 million from Seoul City) will have an exchange center, education centers, ranch- style lodge for farm stay, a space for refreshment to enjoy organic life and experience rooms.


The project is scheduled to come to an end by the end of 2021.


 The city of Seoul and Youngwol-gun co-pays the total costs of operation and local community is commissioned to run the facilities.
