According to Yonhap News,
Gangneung Culture and Arts Foundation (GCAF) will embark on medical tourism project using art for healing program with the total nine billion won-financial support from the Ministry of Knowledge Economy (MKE).
The MKE seemed to have thought highly of the new content of the treatment method using arts.
The foundation will conduct convergence medical tourism project by diversifying conventional medical tourism programs, most led by university hospitals, and combining them with various healing programs using music, drawing, literature and meditation.
To that end, it will sign contacts with Gangreung Tourism Organization, Asan Gangneung Hospital and regional travel agencies.
The new medical tourism program, to be conducted from 2012 to 2014, will enable Gangwon to create a new brand value of a mecca of natural healing by introducing various programs including a natural healing clinic, detox camp for youth, art therapy and meditation therapy.
