According to Yonhap News,
BGF Retail, a leading convenience store retailer, decided to open Gangreung logistics center in Gangreung Science Industrial Complex tomorrow, first logistics center built by the company since June when it changed its brand name from Family Mart to CU.
The Seoul-based retailer has 1,544 employees and generates about 2.6 trillion won of annual sales revenue.
BGF Retail inked a 4.5 billion won-investment agreement with Gangreung City last year and started to construct a new 2,848 square meter-logistics facility from March.
The newly-established logistics center aims at ensuring the stable supply of products to convenience stores in the east sea region and achieving the goal to record 7 billion won of annual sales revenue and hire 160 staffs.
The center will contribute to stimulating Gangreung's local economy, the city expects.
