According to Yonhap News,

The 2012 Ministry of Knowledge Economy Medical Device R&D (MMR) Fair was held at Inter-Burgo Hotel in Wonju City, Gangwon Province from last Thursday to Friday.

The fair was designed to share the current trend of the domestic R&D on medical devices and discuss how to facilitate the sluggish domestic medical device industry caused by the effectuation of Korea's FTAs.

Seminars on certifications for medical devices and how to respond to changing international standards, organized by the Korea Food & Drug Administration and Korea Testing Laboratory, respectively, were also held on the sideline of the fair.
