Gangwon-do (Province)-based High1 Entertainment inked a memorandum of understanding on joint investment and development of animated films and digital contents for children with Foundation, a U.K-based affiliate of Zodiak, at the Kidscreen Summit 2013, according to High1 Entertainment last Wednesday.

The MOU will see the series of three TV animated films, co-developed by the both sides, air on 200 channels globally.

Last year, High1 Entertainment already inked an agreement with Zodiak on production and distribution of the preschool series Quick Quack, Duck!

“The joint MOU with the worldwide media group Zodiak will elevate Taebaek-si, Gangwon-do into a global animated film industrial hub,” said Chi, Suk-kyu, CEO of High1 Entertainment.

Zodiak is a global media group with 45 affiliates in 17 countries. The company ranked first and second in the U.K. and Europe, respectively, in the video contents industry.
