According to Yonhap News,

Gangwon Province kick started to help local food companies struggling with the coronavirus shock enter the market in Moscow.

They rolled out an ambitious plan in May 31 to help local food makers take selling space dedicated to their products and services in a retailer’s store and reach out to customers in Russia for reasons that most small enterprises, relatively lacking marketing or branding resources, need leverage for market expansion.

The authorities helps local businesses get easy access to shop opening by selecting marketable items, while giving fast track approvals for the entire process of shipping, customs declaration, certification and marketing.
Rents to secure selling space in local marketplace are also covered, in an effort to enhance price competitiveness.

Korean products and services have been appealing to an increasing number of customers in Russia thanks to global fan base of millions of loyal K-pop followers. The Province also unveiled another plan to open a local food pavilion, displaying organically grown fresh foods, in the city of Vladivostok from July to September.
