To build a social consensus for a PNG project which will be based on cooperation between South Korea, North Korea and Russia, Samcheok City held a symposium on gas, energy and PNG this week.

To achieve government-led projects early and to attract a Russian PNG terminal, the city held the symposium under the theme of Coexistence of Human and Energy, Future.

The symposium drew about 50 experts in the field of PNG and hybrid energy from seven countries, including Russia, China, Japan, United States, Sweden and Uzbekistan, to hold discussions in five sessions.

Through the symposium, Samcheok looked for a roadmap to attract a PNG terminal and established development measures for sustainable energy industry to enhance the prestige of the city as a hybrid energy hub.
