Hwacheon County participated in the Taipei International Travel Fair 2013 (ITF 2013) held in Taipei last week.

The county held a booth to promote the Hwacheon Sancheoneo (Mount Trout) Ice Festival and tourism industry and discussed measures to support a Southeast Asian travel agency which signed a memorandum of understanding with Hwacheon.

ITF is organized by the Taiwan Visitors Association and supervised by the Ministry of Transportation and Communication. It features about 1,500 booths by 850 agencies from 61 countries. The number of visitors to the fair reached 260,000 in 2012. The Korean Tourism Organization and Gangwon Province are attending the fair annually.
