(CHUNCHEON = Newsis) Chuncheon (Mayor: Lee Gwangjun) of the Gangwon Province (Gangwon) was nominated as one of the best provinces in the civil affairs administration service assessment.

Gangwon compared conditions of civil affairs management of 18 cities and districts for 2013 and Chuncheon was ranked the 2nd highest within the province, trailing only Taebaek, according to an announcement of the city.

Chuncheon received favorable reviews on the following categories of the assessment: celerity of civil affairs management, discovery of 10 inconveniences of citizens, discovery of outstanding cases of improvement on civil affairs administration and authority with excellent civil affairs service. The city will receive an official meritorious commendation at the end of the year.

“We will keep providing our best quality services to get close to our local citizens,” said an official of Chuncheon.
