(CHUNCHEON=Yonhap News)The City of Wonju and the Bangye General Industrial Complex will become the new home to three companies in the metropolitan area.

Gangwon Province and the City of Wonju signed an investment memorandum of understanding (MOU) with HN Surgical, Polyone and Corea Snow Remover on August 14 for the relocation of plants to Wonju and the Bangye General Industrial Complex.

The companies will invest KRW 16.5 billion by 2016 to build a production plant and create more than 210 jobs.

HN Surgical, a medical facilities manufacturer, will invest KRW 7.2 billion to move to Wonju and create 150 new jobs.

Corea Snow Remover, a snowplow manufacturer, will invest KRW 4.5 billion to move to Wonju and create 30 new jobs.

Polyone, a raw material manufacturer, will invest KRW 4.8 billion to move to the Bangye General Industrial Complex and create 30 new jobs.

The Province expects the companies will bring an annual production of KRW 100 billion, value added of KRW 25 billion and income of KRW 12.4 billion.
