According to Yonhap News,
(GANGNEUNG=Yonhap News) Gangneung City announced November 4 that the city is developing the 2nd stage of industrial site (416,567 ㎡) in the science general industrial complex to develop a future-oriented science and technology city.
The construction of the 1st stage of industrial site (1,080,246 ㎡) in the science general industrial complex was completed on February 2010. The complex was established to develop growth engine industries with the key roles of the industrial-academic cooperation of Yeongdong region and R&D achievements.
The occupancy rate of the 1st stage of industrial site is over 80 percent.
The city plans to complete the infrastructure of the 2nd stage of industrial site by the end of June, 2015.
The city will operate the action plan of the industrial complex flexibly by arranging industries including new material, marine organisms, information and culture, green and logistics to meet the demand of various companies that are willing to move into the complex.
