GANGWON-DO < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

(CHUNCHEON=Yonhap News) Chuncheon City announced November 20 that it will invest KRW 120 billion in the restructuring of the Hupyeong Industrial Complex by 2017 to turn it into a complex-type industrial complex.

The Hupyeong Industrial Complex, which was the first industrial complex in Gangwon Province, has been leading the manufacturing industry of the region for over the last 45 years.

However, the use of the complex has decreased due to the transfer of many major companies to the province and outdated facilities.

Also, there has been a need to improve the environment of the complex as a residential area was formed around it.

The complex, however, is revitalizing as more companies are moving into the complex and the tenants recorded sales of KRW 160 billion last year.

In this regard, Chuncheon has received national support to reorganize the infrastructure and advance the businesses to enhance its competitiveness.
