According to Yonhap News,

(CHUNCHEON=Yonhap News) Chuncheon City announced March 26 that it has permitted the construction of a tourism hotel, which will be developed by a private project developer. The “Chuncheon River Palace” will have 120 rooms and will be established in Samcheon-dong, the downtown area of the city.

The new construction site will have a total floor area of 14,000 ㎡ and the hotel (8-story building with 2 underground floors) will be built on 6,000 ㎡ of land in Samcheon-dong.

The hotel will begin construction in May with the project cost of KRW 27 billion.

The city expects the construction of a large-scale hotel, which is the result of deregulations on development and activities to attract private investment, will help the city to attract more tourists at home and abroad.
