(PYEONGCHANG=NEWSIS) Pyeongchang County announced April 18 that it will sign a business agreement with the institute of green bio science and technology SNU on April 30 to establish research and development (R&D) tasks to develop the local industries.

The business agreement is to develop local R&Ds by capitalizing on the plant resources, the strength of the county.

The institute of green bio science and technology SNU will help the eco-friendly bio-science industry to become the new growth engine of Pyeongchang through technology development that produce future high value-added with abundant natural resources including regional forest and agricultural products.

"The business agreement will be an opportunity to revitalize the regional economy and create jobs," said a county official.
