(CHUNCHEON=NEWSIS) Gangwon Province announced June 22 that it has appointed nine inbound investment promotion advisors to attract foreign investment.

The inbound investment promotion advisors are experts in China, Asia and the Americas.

The inbound investment promotion advisors will find foreign-invested companies, collect and provide foreign investor-related information and introduce the foreign investment promotion activities that are carried out by the province.

To date, the province has attracted KRW 889.9 billion of foreign investment due to the investment projects including the China Dream City in Jeondongjin Beach, Legoland Korea, Haitai-Calbee and Ashimori.

Currently, the foreign capital is invested in the East Sea region tourism resort and Munmak foreign investment zone and investment negotiations are underway for other potential investment sites.
