(GANGNEUNG=Yonhap News) The Gangwon Office of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation announced July 13 that it will hold a general assembly for the establishment of the functional bio mini cluster on July 14 at Lakai Sandpine resort in Gangneung.
A mini cluster refers to an academic-industrial cooperative group where companies in the industrial complexes share knowledge and information with universities, research centers and support institutions.
Seven new mini clusters were selected across the country and the new functional bio mini clusters include companies related to healthy food, bio material and processing of fisheries in the Yeongdong region (Bukpyeong industrial complex, Gangneung science park and Jumunjin agricultural industrial complex.
It will help operating the industrial-academic network, supporting the research and development capacity building project including marketing and strengthening competitiveness and technology development capacity.
