According to Yonhap News,

Wonju Medical Industry Techno valley hosted an online trade fair: Gangwon Medical Industry Trade Fair with Biz-Partners in Eastern Europe from Sep 14-25, to help local medical device manufacturers hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic.

Nearly 20 candidates at the fair were able to join a one-on-one meeting to have a biz-talk with global buyers, pre-scheduled to take part in the event, from 19 countries. The matching service provided them a venue to explore potential business opportunities to sell and buy k-beauty products and medical devices in rising demand since the outbreak of the coronavirus. Korean counterparts joined the session on-site or at their head office, connected via interactive online platforms to meet with buyers invited.

These participants also presented at the 46th round of “'EMS World Expo 2020” on Sep 16-18, a web-based exhibition to help local hygiene products makers tap into the US market to further expand sales networks. The expo, known as the world’s largest medical conference, was supposed to be held in the city of Las Vegas but forced to shift the format online in light of the coronavirus risk.

Wonju Medical Industry Techno valley and Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) co-organized a Korean pavilion, named 'Korea-Gangwon EMS&COVID-19' to showcase products and services in Korea.

There’re a series of world expos waiting to be held till the end of this year: online KOR-Vietnam medical industry trade fair in October, the 16th Gangwon Medical Equipment Show (GMES 2020), Hong Kong Cosmoprof Asia 2020 Digital week in November and KOR-Germany MEDICA.
