According to Yonhap News,

It’s reported that bio-pharmaceutical products and service providers in the city of Chuncheon, Gangwon Province have recorded a 39 percent jump in sales, for all the COVID-19 led implications on economy. A study said on Sep 10 that 55 local businesses, who responded the research work, reported the exports they’ve reached for the first half of this year are estimated to total KRW 102.6 billion. That’s a 39.8 percent jump compared to the same period last year.

Year-over-year domestic sales and employment turned out to drop 8.8 percent and 3.6 percent, respectively, whereas exports-driven total sales figure on the contrary went up 3.4 percent. “Export sales are translated into a trade off against the drop in domestic sales.”, a researcher said who requested anonymity.
