(WONJU=Yonhap News) The Gangwon Office of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation announced July 20 that it will hold a medical devices-auto parts mini cluster workshop in Oak Valley on July 22. Participants will include workers at the tenant companies in industrial complexes in Wonju and officials at local universities.

The workshop was organized to establish a foothold for creating industrial complexes, which are the base for the creative economy, in the rapidly changing environment to manufacturing innovation through convergence.

It will be an opportunity to cooperate and exchange between the innovative groups of medical devices and auto industries, establish a convergence network and create a new industry.

The participants will identify the technology trends of smart vehicles that capitalize on the medical technology, seek measures for industrial development through the internet of things and share core technology information owned by companies.
