According to Yonhap News,

The city of Wonju decided on Nov 20 to host the 9th round of its annual event, ‘Global Trade and Investment (GTI) Expo’, which set out a path toward a new paradigm of 24/7 all year round 3D virtual exhibition for the first time in Korea this year in the midst of an ongoing coronavirus crisis. Next year’s expo is scheduled to be held on Oct 14-17 both on and offline regardless of the situation update of the coronavirus as it was this year. The 8th round of the event held on Oct 15-18 this year imposed a four-day lockdown during the show to prevent the spread of the recent coronavirus outbreak among guests and representatives invited and switched the format into a web-based seminar.

This year’s GTI expo is assessed to set milestones, turning the current COVID-19 induced challenge into an opportunity. 296 suppliers in six virtual showrooms displayed 890 products and engaged e-commerce sites to showcase product categories and content, as part of ways to go head-to-head to get over the coronavirus crisis. It’s also reported that the official website traffic hit nearly 17.28 million visits during the show. The expo recorded KRW 1.38 billion in sales which came both from on and offline channels, KRW 300 billion in preliminary contractual agreement for export and KRW 32 billion in agreement for the sale of goods supplied domestically, respectively.

Even when the expo came to an end, approximately 9.8 million visitors came and enjoyed the show for a month until Nov 15.
