According to Newsis,

A high-tech industry cluster, named ‘Campus Innovation Park’ is set to be facilitated inside Kangwon National University campus. Under sponsorship of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport (MLIT) and the of SMEs and Startups (MSS), the park aims at economies of agglomeration by which business capacity can be concentrated in one place until the year 2023. Forming a new business space for tenants only, the authorities are planning to push for multiple projects to further enhance business capabilities and to promote industry-university collaboration, which ultimately transforms the campus into a local hub of innovation.

The budget for the plan is estimated to total KRW 19.5 billion. Kangwon University and Korea Land & Housing Corporation will co-organize the construction project, launching groundworks on a 66,500 ㎡ site within the campus. They also set up a leasing space with a total floor area of 22,300㎡, where industry-affiliated university sponsorship programs proceed.
The university expects the program to attract over 300 bio-healthcare businesses, adding nearly 1,500 new jobs.
