According to Yonhap News,

A taskforce authorized to prepare for GTI exhibition has kickstarted its service from Jan 15 in Gangwon Economic Promotion Agency (GEPA). Under the slogan ‘To foster the hub for global trade fairs and exhibitions’, the TF takes the role of exhibition organizer and supporter, helping locally based small-mid sized businesses find global sales channels. By running an online ‘GTI fair’ on a regular basis from this year, the TF hosts a virtual business matching service to connect local enterprises to buyers overseas. In addition, they’ll undertake the charge of managing business profile datasets and marketing locally produced products and services in association with the fair.

The Greater Tumen Initiative (GTI), formerly known as the Tumen River Area Development Program, is an intergovernmental cooperation platform, which has started to host exhibitions since 2013 to help explore new markets in Northeast Asia. During the fair last year, nearly 1,728 visitors took part in online, raising KRW 1.38 billion in sales. The preliminary contractual trade agreement struck online is reported to total KRW 30 million, alongside sales contract reached between domestic vendors at KRW 32 billion.
