According to Yonhap News,

The city of Chuncheon in Gangwon Province came up with a support package to help locally based industry clusters better attract businesses to reside in. According to a report released on Feb 17, the number of companies which have moved to the city clusters totaled 19 (6 in 2018, 6 in 2019, 7 in 2020). The number of employees newly hired during the same time period over the last three years from 2018 was 43, 125 and 146. The occupancy rate of Dongchuncheon and NamChuncheon General Industrial Complex is currently 66.1% and 61.5% each. To further increase the rate, the city government set a goal to add 50 more investors to move in and add 1,500 new jobs.

Dongchuncheon cluster, designated as part of the National Investment Promotion Zone since February last year, provides a selective investment incentive, letting investors choose one of three separate options: cash grants making up for water disposal charges, logistics and shipping costs or utility bills. In addition, new residents will also benefit from financial supports, which cover nearly 40% and 14% of property and equipment purchasing costs.

Under such guidelines, the city government is planning to turn the Dongchuncheon cluster into a hub of renewable energy business, whereas making NamChuncheon cluster a mecca for the bio-healthcare and logistics industry.
