According to Yonhap News,
Gangwon Agro and Food Export Association said on June 9 that it will have a virtual ceremony upon agreement with buyers from US, Canada, and China intended to improve exports of regional agricultural products at Sangji University on June 11.
The Association initially planned to invite foreign buyers to Korea, introduce various products produced in Wonju, and sign a written agreement. However, it has been replaced to virtual ones due to the COVID-19.
With the agreement, Wonju's overseas stores will be open in US and Canada, selling about 40 types of agricultural and processed food products.
The Association recorded KRW 1.48 billion exports by selling 37 agricultural and processed food products
to US, Canada and China, among others, last year.
