GANGWON-DO < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

Wonju Medical Industry Techno valley (WMIT) and Gangwon branch of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MMS) jointly held IR for medical device startups in Gangwon area at "Bio Korea 2021" at COEX, Seoul on June 11.

The two came together to hold this event, in keeping with a trend of increasing venture investment fund creation in Gangwon region boosted by the 2nd venture boom.

WMIT and Gangwon MMS have prepared this event to support investment attraction of regional medical device startups, who stand out in the medical and bio fields-on which recent venture investment activities have been focused.

This IR was participated by 10 medical device startups located in Gangwon who show high growth potential and possess excellent technologies.

They presented their business models, exploring possibility of investment attraction, to those from POSCO capital and HYUNDAI Technology Investment, among others.

The two institutions plan to continue to support promising local startups by jointly hosting IR events.
