Gangwon's medical device entered the Middle East market overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic

According to Yonhap News,


Wonju Medical Industry Techno Valley (WMIT) said on June 28 that it set up Gangwon stand at the 46th Arab Health 2021, one of the largest medical device exhibitions in Middle East held on June 21-24. It made achievements worth USD 11.56 million through 1,175 business meetings.

To help participating firms achieve as much results as possible through the exhibition, WMIT provided a whole range of services concerning exhibition marketing, i.e., identifying buyers, supporting business meetings, interpretation, and promotion activities.

The exhibition had 14 halls, participated by about 1,500 firms from 62 countries, and visited by more than 20,000 people.

WMIT expects the online exhibition, held until July 22, is to produce more achievements through continued online business meetings with buyers.

An official from WMIT said, "we will collaborate with Gangwon-do to facilitate companies enter overseas markets and raise the reputation of Gangwon's medical device industry, contributing to achieving USD 2.5 billion exports."
