According to Yonhap News,

Gangwon-do is to hold a forum under the theme of 'Precision medical revolution, find the answer in Gangwon', and foster related big data industry.

Gangwon-do announced on September 26 that it would hold the '14th Gangwon Future Science Forum' at Chungcheon Sky Convention on September 27.

Precision medicine provides personalized medical service which is scientific and efficient based on big data, customized to an individual disease sensitivity by collecting, analyzing, and processing medical information.

Gangwon-do was designated as a 'Precision Medical Industry Regulatory Free Zone' in July following 'Digital Healthcare' in 2019.

There will be presentations by professors and enterprise CEOs, followed by discussion of experts in order to conduct in-depth analysis on Gangwon's strategy in the precision medical industry, emerging as a key industry in the fourth industrial revolution.

By doing so, Gangwon-do plans to attract 200 medical related companies and create 3,700 jobs by 2027.
