Gangwon-do and Goseong-gun announced on December 23 that they will sign an investment agreement with E-Land Park for the construction of Seorak Valley Tourism Complex and Seorak Beach Complex Resort at the Gangwon Provincial Office on December 24.
This project is an additional investment by E-Land Park to expand its existing Kensington Resort Seorak Valley and Seorak Beach.
E-Land Park plans to invest KRW 880 billion over the next 10 years to construct a Seorak Valley Tourism Complex on an area of 849,114 square meters in Sinpyeong-ri, Toseong-myeon, Goseong-gun.
To this end, it plans to add the France, Italy, Germany, and Austria-themed zones to the existing Swiss-themed village.
It will also construct Seorak Beach Complex Resort by investing KRW 37 million over 7 years on a 170,000 square meter area in Bongpo-ri, Toseong-myeon, Goseong-gun.
It is a project to build additional 8-story and 12-story accommodation facilities with 1,056 rooms in total on both sides of the existing 5-story accommodation facility.
Gangwon-do expects this project to create about 2,000 new jobs.
