Hoengseong-gun and Gangwon-do signed MOU with 3 companies at Gangwon Provincial Office on March 2.

The 3 companies will invest KRW 47.4 billion in total in Woocheon General Industrial Complex, Woocheon 2nd Agro-Industrial Complex, and Guonggeun Agro-Industrial Complex in Heongseong-gun to build manufacturing facilities.

They will also employ 130 people locally.

One Industrial, an industrial film manufacturing company, is a famous company that has entered Vietnam and achieved sales of KRW 25.8 billion as of 2020.

Kpride, which relocated from Icheon, Gyeonggi-do to Hoengseong in 2014, is a seasoned meat and sausage producing company that has achieved sales growth of 5 times from KRW 9.2 billion to KRW 45 billion in 2020.

With this agreement, it will invest KRW 11 billion to expand its second factory in Woocheon 2nd Agro-industrial complex and hire 30 additional people.

Pumpkin, a leading company in establishing and manufacturing electric vehicle charging systems who achieved KRW 36.9 billion in sales as of 2021, is a venture company recognized for its quality and service in the domestic electric vehicle charging market.

By December 2024, it will invest KRW 14.9 billion in the Gonggeun Agro-Industrial Complex to build a new electric vehicle charger production factory.

"Through this investment agreement, we will provide practical support together with Gangwon-do so that we can grow together with the region," said Lim Gwang-sik, head of the corporate economy division.
